We need your support

Bishop Castle only exists because of the generosity of Those who visit!

Jim Bishop insisted on the project being built by one man. He often told his friends, in the early years, that they could come help. However, none ever actually showed up. After doing it on his own, for several years, he decided that he wanted to get the credit he deserved. And that’s where it started. His son Daniel respected this idea. His son completely understood his father’s dream and the drive that created it! Daniel, however felt that the day would come where the project would become his. That Day has arrived!

What’s next?

Daniel believes that he has a vision, of a finished castle, that is a reflection of his fathers dream! The shortest of the towers on the castle being taken another 30 feet high. The Iron bridge to nowhere actually connected the top of Roy’s tower. His father had a dream of a wall around the 2 1/2 acre property. The wall being 3 stories high with massive corner towers, a gatehouse with draw bridge, and rooms for a renaissance style mall of vendors and entertainers to sell their goods and live on site. He also had the desire to landscape the property. He wanted a vast courtyard paved in decorative patterns, planters with natural wildflowers and walkways that would take visitors on a grand journey. He had vision of a finished interior. Completed with decorative ornamental iron fixtures and artwork, windows filled entirely with locally hand-crafted stained glass. These are the dreams of Daniel Bishop as well. Jim Bishop never put much thought and effort into creating comfortable living quarters on the property. His son is currently creating his own amenities.

How Can You Help?

Like his father, Daniel avoids the donation of physical labor as help on his projects. Daniel has no desire to see anyone get injured while working at the castle. He is not a natural leader. He doesn’t express his ideas well. He works best alone. These things do not mean he doesn’t need help. What he needs help with is acquiring the equipment and materials necessary to create his dreams. Your donations of resources such as materials, equipment, or money are a necessity to building on the dream!

What do we need most?

Almost every project requires some digging. Jim Bishop did most of it with a wheelbarrow and shovel. Eventually he was gifted a skid steer loader. WOW! The time and back breaking effort that was saved. Daniel wants a mini excavator. He is asking you to help him get one. Do you have one to donate? Do you know someone that has one to donate? Can you scratch up some money to go to the purchase of one? If you answer yes to any of these questions, please help! Daniel needs new tires for his skid steer. He always needs fuel. He goes through a lot of cement and gravel. Our charity always needs money to lend to the families of infants in the hospital receiving surgery for heart defects.
